Although it is the smallest of the five communities in St. Mary Parish, the town of Baldwin has much to offer in services. Recreation facilities include tennis courts, ball fields for little league and softball fields for children and adults. A Pee Wee football team is also part of Baldwin recreation.

For new Businesses and industries interested in locating in or around Baldwin, a close proximity to waterways, a four-lane highway (I-49) and rail access are all a plus. Reasonable utility rates and services are added incentives. An Industrial Park is currently under construction with access to water, interstate and rail.
